Project Pinstripe

With the motto Look Good. Feel Good. Be Good. we demonstrate a lifestyle that encompasses the essence of a true gentleman. This month, in the effort to Be Good, we partnered with our friends at Project Pinstripe. We provided trendy socks to young men in the Detroit area and helped them be the best gentleman possible. Project Pinstripe, based out of Detroit, supports young men in the Detroit area. They provide professional business attire and also teach the skills to succeed in today’s job market.

Project Pinstripe partnered with Metro Detroit companies for their 10th anniversary. Each partner brought gently-used suits and accessories to its attendees. We had excitement over the opportunity to bring trendy dress socks to the event. Also, we helped participants add personal style to their interview attire. The event took place on Saturday, March 12, and saw its largest number of participants yet.

Our COO, John Haji, attended the event to present the socks to the attendees. He also provided advice to the young men preparing for college interviews and job opportunities.

“It was inspiring to see the kids so interested in learning about interview attire and etiquette. It’s always great to have the opportunity to pay it forward. This cause fits in well with what we at Gentleman’s Box aim to do every day.”

Some past participants spoke at the event crediting much of their success in life to the Project Pinstripe program. However, one participant took to Project Pinstripe’s Facebook page. He stated, “Got this suit from Project Pinstripe back in 2012 for my graduation from Academy for Business and Technology. I had a job interview today and thanks [to] Project Pinstripe I was dressed for success.”

Working with an organization with a mission similar to our own was a great experience for us. For further information about Project Pinstripe, check out this article from The Detroit News.
