The work environment dress code changes from office to office. Some offices allow you to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt, while others have a strict business professional attire. Today we are going to show you how to dress up jeans in the workplace appropriately.
Even if your employer allows you to dress however you want, studies show that if you look good, you’ll feel good and you’ll do better at whatever you are trying to accomplish. Pair medium wash denim with a nice white button down shirt and some leather sneakers. This look will look put together, allow you to be comfortable at the same time, and make your jeans workplace appropriate.
If you still work in a more relaxed environment but have clients come in, and out of the office, it’s key that you look presentable. Pair dark wash denim with a t-shirt and a structured blazer. The blazer will give off the vibe of professionalism, but you’ll be able to take it off throughout the day. Make sure your denim is of a dark wash for at first glance they won’t look like denim, but a nice structured chino slack.
Most would think you can’t make denim formal. Now it won’t be your typical “black tie affair” formal, but with the help of some layers, denim can look dapper in a more structured office setting. Pair a dark wash denim with a button-down shirt and tie. Throw a buttoned vest and a blazer over that. If you play up textures and subtle prints, this look will be classic and appropriate for the office.
