This month’s honoree is all about business. From the way he runs his companies, to what he puts on his back every day, he knows what its like to be a gentleman. With the workplace becoming more casual, we wanted to share with you several ways to incorporate Wall Street style into your business casual looks.
Nothing screams “business” like a nice tailored blazer. Blazers are a great way to go from casual, to business casual, to wall street style. Start off with a nice solid colored blazer, but always looks for statement blazers, such as plaid, paisley, and floral. What is great about a blazer is that you can wear it with jeans, chinos, or a slack. Check out some of our favorites below.
While working in a more business casual workspace is becoming more common, it is essential to have a well-tailored suit hanging in your closet. Not just for celebrations or weddings, but for the office. We all have those important business meetings that we need to look our best, so a suit is a must. Look for a black, navy, brown, and gray suit. If you want to step out of your comfort zone, look for burgundy, hunter green, or even a brighter blue suit. Check out some of our favorite styles below!
You can tell a lot about a gentleman by how he takes care of his shoes. While it’s not so much about the dress shoe type, there is one do and don’t for dressing like Wall Street: 1. DO make sure your shoes are freshly polished and 2. DON’T wear sneakers to the office. Check out our tutorial on how to properly polish your shoes here!
Last, but not least, you cannot forget a tie! Ties are an essential on Wall Street, adds something special to your look with the tie print and knot. Need some inspiration? Check out how to tie different tie knots through our youtube channel: Tie Knot Playlist
